Kathy Griffin: “He broke me”, no Griffin you broke you…You practice moral relativity, which means you author your own set of morals…This means you do whatever makes you feel good…The upside is you have no conscience…The downside is when you do what pleases Kathy and you intentionally butt heads with normal moral values, you can not cope…An apology is offered, and if not accepted you blame the person or persons you wronged…Your a moral deviate, and one sick person…You attacked my President without cause simulating murder; you belong behind bars…Anyone supporting your behavior is as sick as you are…
Remembering Walter who passed away three years ago:
April 1939 – March 2014
Junior was his childhood name, which he disliked immensely. But this fact only became known to me as an adult. Growing up together “Junior” taught this boy how to net butterflies, assemble an aquarium and catch sunfish naming only a few. He was more than a cousin; he was my friend. He was a multi-talented man with the greenest of thumbs. He could plant any seed, any time of the year and have it grow into something beautiful. My sister Ruth and I were his childhood actors. Walter would write and direct plays staring us. This included costumes but never an audience. We would happily rehearse our parts over and over until they met with the director’s approval. I must admit he tried, unsuccessfully, to teach maturity to me, but my alcoholism would not allow it. I admired him immensely and never shared that fact. I cried today when hearing of his passing. Walter Szczublewski was a gift to this world, and we will see each other again when I go to my mansion in the sky. We shall net butterflies, build aquariums, and I will call him Walter.
We are living in an era of social beliefs becoming ever more clear-cut and extreme. The educational system in these United States has deteriorated into social brainwashing. Rather than imparting a balanced curriculum, allowing young men and women to form their own opinions, the Liberal agenda brain-stamps our youth. Everything is just fine, no boundaries on actions, all are self and virtue diminishes and dies. The attraction is complete freedom without repercussion.
Does it make sense not to kill, not to steal, not to lie? What about compassion for others? All this and more are part and parcel of The Ten Commandments…Oh I see where the writer is headed, going to shove Christianity down my throat, you may think…However I am using the application of The Ten Commandments as a better way to live…They are common sense foundational thinking.
If someone shoots and kills your only child, rapes your wife, sexually assaults your granddaughter do you deem this acceptable? Complete freedom insures these horrid events become common place; which they are.
Extreme social beliefs have become insane, with the internet being the death weapon of choice. We now have transgender bathrooms for school children, rioting and looting labeled acceptable, murdering police in cold blood, and reshaping reality like potting clay into fiction (hands up don’t shoot).
Unlimited freedom is a strong ideological belief in the United States. Some follow ideological ideals that are logical, while others take stands that are idiotic or illogical, like the aforementioned.
Polarized ideology insures absence of communication, without which civil war becomes a reality. Where lays an answer for restoration of these United States to a country of laws and law-abiding citizens unafraid of work? In a word, GOD…..
Written by the Reverend Jesse Jackson from his 1977 article for the National Right to Life News…..
The question of “life” is The Question of the 20th century. Race and poverty are dimensions of the life question, but discussions about abortion have brought the issue into focus in a much sharper way.
How we will respect and understand the nature of life itself is the over-riding moral issue, not of the Black race, but of the human race.
The question of abortion confronts me in several different ways. First, although I do not profess to be a biologist, I have studied biology and know something about life from the point of view of the natural sciences. Second, I am a minister of the Gospel and, therefore, feel that abortion has a religious and moral dimension that I must consider. Third, I was born out of wedlock (and against the advice that my mother received from her doctor) and therefore abortion is a personal issue for me.
From my perspective, human life is the highest good, the summum bonum. Human life itself is the highest human good and God is the supreme good because He is the giver of life…
There are those who argue that the right to privacy is of higher order than the right to life. I do not share that view. I believe that life is not private, but rather it is public and universal.
If one accepts the position that life is private, and therefore you have the right to do with it as you please, one must also accept the conclusion of that logic. That was the premise of slavery. You could not protest the existence or treatment of slaves on the plantation because that was private and therefore outside of your right to concerned.
Another area that concerns me greatly, namely because I know how it has been used with regard to race, is the psycholinguistics involved in this whole issue of abortion. If something can be dehumanized through the rhetoric used to describe it, then the major battle has been won. Those advocates of taking life prior to birth do not call it killing or murder, they call it abortion. They further never talk about aborting a baby because that would imply something human. Rather they talk about aborting the fetus. Fetus sounds less than human and therefore can be justified.
… What happens to the mind of a person, and the moral fabric of a nation, that accepts the aborting of the life of a baby without a pang of conscience? What kind of a person, and what kind of a society will we have 20 years hence if life can be taken so casually?
It is that question, the question of our attitude, our value system, and our mind-set with regard to the nature and worth of life itself that is the central question confronting mankind. Failure to answer that question affirmatively may leave us with a hell right here on earth.
If you are a Roman Catholic, Protestant or member of any Christian faith you can not vote for the Democratic Party. Think about this as you approach the communion rail or raise your hands in worship. Aborting a baby in the first, second or third trimester is murder. Abortion in the third trimester is the most vicious. Your Christian faith is the trump card and economics, middle class, unions etc… becomes dust under your feet. Attempting to spin these Democratic ideals is hypocrisy if you profess to be Christian. Aborting a seven pound baby is murdering innocents and the blood is on your hands. If you profess belief in Jesus Christ and worship him, voting Democratic negates the love of your Savior. If abortion is ignored when voting Democratic, as if it does not exist, you are not Christian and will stand in judgment…
My wife is an ultra-kind person who will help anyone at anytime. She recently picked up a young girl walking down the side of the road in Wilmington North Carolina. Her mother had a stroke and their vehicle was sitting in Jacksonville Florida with a blown engine. I have never been clear as to why they were in North Carolina. My wife brought the girl to our home since she had no where to go.
We have been through this before on several occasions with bad results. So I must admit I was not very keen on the idea. “She can stay a few days until her problem can be sorted out” I told my wife.
The vehicle was under warranty and ready to be picked up in Florida. After checking numerous ways to get the girl to Florida in order to pick up her car, I offered to drive her there and follow her back.
The power steering pump had a severe leak, check engine light was on, and the front end out of alignment had rendered both tires bald; but we made the trip home.
Her mother was in and out of intensive care and not doing well at all. The girl was willing to get a job but lacked identification.
Following are excerpts of conversations…I ask; “you do not have identification”? “No I can’t find it”. “Social security card, drivers license…nothing”? “No, I don’t know where they are”…“Did you lose your purse”? “No I have my purse”…”How could you lose all your identification but still have your purse, did you lose your wallet”? “No, I have my wallet, I also have a New York State drivers license but I can’t find it either”. (She was going to college in NYC but her vehicle was wearing a Florida plate). “NY State offers a replacement license if you lose it out of state”, I offer. “I’ll get the form off the internet and we can send away for a replacement, it cost $17.50 but I’ll pay it”. “I may have changed my name”, she replies. “You changed your name “? “I think I did”, she answered. “You do not remember if you changed your name, how can that be”? No answer…”Ok, fill out the form with the name that is on your NY license and I’ll mail it”.
Two weeks pass and a letter arrives from New York DOT…No such person…While my wife is standing in the kitchen the girl says; “I tried to tell you but you did not understand”. My wife says; “He probably did not hear you”. “What did I not understand”, I reply, “You filled out the form, what has this to do with me? No answer.
Several days later the girl tells my wife that her cousin, who works for NYDOT, got licenses for all family members under the table.
My wife and I discussed the next step and agreed that a date must be picked when she would have to leave. We also decided to list all the possible solutions to this girl’s problems and I would sit down with her and try and arrive at a solution, which I did.
“Your mother has a house in Florida and your vehicle is registered there…If you do not continue your education the student loans will come due…I would suggest that when and if your mother can be placed in a home you should consider living in Jacksonville. And besides your Jeep Larado is prone to transmission failure and being in the same city where it is serviced is a wise move. It keeps showing a trouble code that is transmission and it is only a matter of time before it fails”. All of this was met with eyes rolling to heaven. I had checked her addresses in Florida and there were seven listed but conspicuous by its absence was the address of the house in Jacksonville.
At this point I made a decision. I would stop being friendly and become stern. This girl was sinking roots in our living room and no longer viewed our house as temporary but permanent.
Well, she left and told my wife that the reason she was being “booted out” was because she is Black and I’m a racist. She was Black when I drove her to Florida to get her car. She was Black when I fixed her power steering in the rain at 35 degrees. She was Black when I troubleshot faults in her transmission; she was Black when I sealed the leak in the Jeeps sunroof. When faced with reality, rather than accept the fact she was a guest she pulled out the race card. Guest is defined as one who is invited which means guests leave.
If God wants us to allow a stranger in our home again it would have to be on a postcard signed by God and postmarked “Heaven”. My home is my refuge, it is the only place I have that I can relax and feel safe.
Were the Pilgrims Christians? Of course they were. Atheist claims that the first settlers in America were not Christians; also that Christianity was not the religion of our Founding Fathers. This is utter nonsense.
The Pilgrim Separatists used the “Geneva Bible.” This was a translation (with commentary notes in the margin) made by English Calvinist refugees living in Switzerland.
The official English church strongly disagreed with the Geneva Bible’s commentary. King James authorized a new translation. The first “King James Bible” was published in 1611.
Pilgrim Hall Museum also owns a King James Bible, printed in 1620 (shortly before the Mayflower sailed). It belonged to John Alden; Alden was not originally a Separatist but chose to join the community.
Describing the Pilgrims’ Separatist religious beliefs: ORIGINAL SPELLING
“The one side [the Reformers] laboured to have ye right worship of God & discipline of Christ established in ye church, according to ye simplicitie of ye gospell, without the mixture of mens inventions, and to have & to be ruled by ye laws of Gods word, dispensed in those offices, & by those officers of Pastors, Teachers, & Elders, &c. according to ye Scripturs. The other partie [the Church of England], though under many colours & pretences, endevored to have ye episcopall dignitie (affter ye popish maner) with their large power & jurisdiction still retained; with all those courts, cannons, & ceremonies, togeather with all such livings, revenues, & subordinate officers, with other such means as formerly upheld their antichristian greatnes, and enabled them with lordly & tyranous power to persecute ye poore servants of God.”
William Bradford, Of Plymouth Plantation.
“[They] as the Lord’s free people joined themselves… in the fellowship of the gospel, to walk in all His ways made known, or to be made known unto them.” – William Bradford..
Puritanism in England was essentially a movement within the established church for the purifying of that church-for ministers godly and able to teach, for a simplifying of ritual, for a return to the virtues of primitive Christianity.
Within the Puritan movement there was an extremist group
called the Separatists, and our Pilgrims fall within this category…It had a deep philosophical grounding going all the way back to Scripture and involving the belief that Christians must separate themselves from the world.
Streets Of Laredo lyrics by Smothers Brothers
“As I walked out on the streets of Laredo, As I walked out in Laredo one day, I spied a young cowboy all wrapped in white linen Wrapped in white linen as cold as the clay. I see by your outfit that you are a cowboy; I see by your outfit you are a cowboy, too; we see by our outfits that we are both cowboys. If you get an outfit, you can be a cowboy, too”.
Does it not offer a degree of amazement that the lyrics apply to The Useless Generation (TUG)? Realizing this writer is not placing ALL twenty something’s under the umbrella of TUG; I believe an overabundance of these umbilical connected electronic toy users are illiterate regarding integrity; tip of the melting berg. Remaining in constant contact is necessary so no one can gain the upper hand or lighting will sever his or her servers.
Narcissist to the hilt, not only peppering every sentence spoken with “like”, the goal of social media is a quest for the most likes. It is all about me logic, which blankets all corrective wisdom. They are unreachable and arrogant, increasing auto insurance rates (via text) by rear-ending innocent folks waiting for a light to change. A make believe world puts its arms around them, providing instant satisfaction. All objects from cars to flat screens are disposable; “mom and dad better by gosh get me a new one”!
TUGS lack common sense, caring for others, simple mathematics, cooking, cleaning and history are not part of thought. Oh, slight error… Most have a phenomenal knowledge of historic turn signals. “Lets see…I already turned the corner causing the vehicle behind me to careen off a light pole, better flick on those turn signals”.
The size of their carbon footprint is important; however playing video games 24/7 somehow negates the carbon deal. It is perfectly OK to toss garbage out the window as you drive along, going no where in particular, burning gas as if it were water, but one must separate plastic from paper to save our Mother Earth.
Many men and women died to protect their freedom but it is just fine to cherry pick The Constitution. Coexist bumper stickers on the rear of smashed up cars, less than one year old, size them up for what they really are; a drain on society. I feel better already…
Oh yes, “The Streets of Laredo” and how it still fits in; why is it that you cannot ride a bicycle unless you are dressed from head to toe in an outfit? A pair of jeans and a tee shirt would cause you to fall off. A twenty-five minute ride requires three water bottles strapped to the bike man utility belt. TUGS must keep up with the other TUGS; this requires owning the latest and greatest toys.
A lover of self, devoid of any charitable care, needs to be a part of a group. Why, you may ask, is that important? To find acceptance, that is why. When you are cold and lonely, you need an outfit.
The attached short speech from Winston Churchill was delivered by him in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist. It probably sets out the current views of many, but expresses in the wonderful Churchillian turn of phrase and use of the English language.
HERE’S THE SPEECH:
“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries!
Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia
in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in
many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture,
sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever
the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement, the
next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every
woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a
child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery
until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the
religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No
stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund,
Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already
spread throughout Central Africa , raising fearless warriors at every
step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms
of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization
of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome ..”
46 cent Forever Stamp – Apparently they think that putting hearts and butterflies on the new stamp will make most people not realize that the rest is Arabic and probably NOT something we want to support. The new stamp, the second MUSLIM stamp!
USPS New 46-Cent Stamp Celebrates a Muslim holiday.
